Virtual play date

My sister Mandy has such a fun blog. She fills it with fun videos of her daughter so Kalia always wants to see her cousin and give her kisses on a daily basis. Kalia has gotten really good at scrolling down and finding exactly which video she wants to watch, pushing play and watching it over and over again. When we were all living in Utah together the kids used to love when either Grandma Ducky or Mandy would play Tarantella on the piano so they could jump around and dance all over the living room. Grandma's house is always a party! Mandy and Nate video taped all the action one Sunday afternoon and posted it on their blog for all to enjoy, and enjoy we have. Yesterday I had Kalia watching all the fun videos of her newest cousin while I was in the kitchen doing dishes. (Yes, I am always doing dishes!) The sounds of Edie counting baby toes faded into the sound of the infamous tarantella and giggling started almost immediately. As I poked my head around the corner I saw Kalia standing on her chair jumping up and down just like we used to do at Grandma's! By the time I found my camera and got ready we were on the fourth time through so I think she was getting tired but she most definately wasn't stopping yet! She played with Edie and her video's for a good 45 minutes. It was a wonderful virtual one-sided playdate and I definately got some housework done! Thanks for playing, Edith!
