Bangs, bangs, and more bangs

Kalia's hair is so much work to keep up with. Between Kalia not being able to eat ANYTHING without sharing with her wild mane and having so much hair that we can hardly comb through it without tears, it was inevitable I guess. So, for anyone who doesn't know the story behind the bangs, let me share with you, for others who already know, I hope you enjoy it again! About 6 months ago while I was at youth conference Kalia decided that she wanted to be a "hair cutter" like her aunt Jessie. I got home really late so it was the next day before I caught my first glimpse and shed my first tear. Daddy of course had been babysitting that day so I called him to find out what had happened. "I didn't notice" was his response. How anyone could have "not noticed" the chunck of hair cut off her head right in the front is beyond me but apparently it happens. I tried to calmly ask Kalia where the scissors were in an attempt to find out what had happened but she just kept telling me that the "scissors are hiding!". (It actually took me three weeks before I found them behind Madisons bookshelf with a large clump of hair.) I called my sister, the hair cutter, and through tears explained that I desperately needed help to salvage my daughters beautiful, thick, long hair. Jess and everyone else in the salon tried their best but when we went home with half a head of bangs all feathered and stuff 9because Kalia's hair is extremely thick, she actually looked to me like she had a helmet of bangs) I cried some more. Kalia, of course thinking it was great that she had gotten so much royal treatment, reluctantly agreed that only Aunt Jessie could cut her hair from now on. She has slways thought that her hair cut was beautiful. This next picture is to show everyone how long her beautiful bangs have gotten.

And last, but not least, we wanted Aunt Jessie to see how pretty they are when clean and combed to the side. (If I could only get them to stay there! Any ideas?)

You have the most beautiful girls. I love that the scissors were "hiding". Oh, what would it be like to have girls who let me make their hair fancy?

Her hair is so cute all the time you do a great time hiding them. Kalia is so funny to say that the scissors were hiding.

wow! they sure have gotten long. about time, lol. i still stand by my word in saying kalia had not had a haircut by the time i left. i thought for sure you would hate me forever and not believe me and never let your kids be watched by me ever again... because i agree, "how could you not notice a big chunk of hair missing in the front?" she was cute even with so many bangs, but i like the new look MUCH better. what a cutie pie, i miss you guys!
